An important source of quality data concerning the biodiversity of the Arctic is the Arctic Council working group Conservation of Arctic Flora and Fauna (CAFF). This working group, comprising of scientists from all Arctic states as well as input from observer countries and relevant scientists, produces reports concerning the status and trends of Arctic biodiversity, from marine to freshwater and terrestrial, as well as summaries for policy makers. Examples of recent reports are the State of Arctic Terrestrial Biodiversity and the State of the Arctic Freshwater Biodiversity reports.
